Old routes new journeys explores the Islamic cultures of Ladakh. The film for the first time attempts to chronicle the advent and evolution of Islam in the region. Set in the midst of urban spaces of Leh, Kargil and villages along the Line of Control it explores the ethno-geography of Islam in the region through architecture, visual and material forms.
