Speaking with several pioneers of the Indian comic book industry, 'No Kidding' attempts to understand the personal ideologies and social histories that came to influence their work and brought with it admiration across the nation. The film takes a varied approach to the idea of the comic book hero and by using archival footage, comics, comic artists, fans and cultural theorists, attempts to pull together a continuous thread between their narratives and the questions posed by the film maker.
