Bloodsport

Bloodsport tracks the lives of three mixed martial arts fighters from the city of Mumbai. Irfan Khan, a Muay Thai champion, Ritika Singh, a karate player and Siddesh Shirgaonkar, a wrestler allow us to take a peek into what it takes to become a fighter, their fears and motivations and the pressures they face from a society struggling to grapple with the concept of mixed martial arts. Through these fighters, the film also looks at why the sport suddenly gained traction in India, how Indian audiences respond to women in the sport and its future in India.
