Culture Cafe: Why it’s Vital to Talk About Rural India | A Presentation by P. Sainath

In spite of the heavy rains hundreds of people turned out for noted journalist P. Sainath’s presentation, Why it’s Vital to Talk About Rural India, on Monday, 9 July, where he talked about how issues of rural India continue to be marginalised wilfuly by the press and the efforts being made, primarily at the People’s Archive of Rural India (PARI), to “record and bring to national focus the labour, livelihoods, languages, art, crafts, histories and cultures of rural Indians”.
